look who’s all professional~
Gearing up for the SCAD Career Fair on Friday. I made my first batch of business cards and cut my very first demo reel within the same week, so I’m feeling very professional at the moment.
In other news, the blog temporarily broke, but no fear! The layout will be fixed to match my new website layout. For now, have a preview of a side project I’m currently working on:
woo, sports, what
For my Concepts and Storyboards class this quarter, I had to do four style frames pertaining to the branding for FIFA World Cup 2014/ESPN. I modeled, textured, and lit a pinball machine in Maya 2011 for this, and after a lot of mini nervous breakdowns about doing 3D frames for the first time, I’m actually pretty happy.
happy new… awwhat.
Oh, hey, that’s right, I run a blog or something.
Nothing really too terribly interesting to report. To hold you over for interesting stuff (haw), here’s some stuff from the sketchbook that I started at the beginning of this year.
winter break, part uh?

So I’m getting my wisdom teeth taken out on Friday, and this was my reaction*. But seriously, I’m gonna see what it’s like to draw when I’m on those painkillers they promised, so we’ll see where that goes.
*It wasn’t, god, my teeth aren’t that bad.
Meanwhile, over here, I’m working on some illustrations for the SCAD Freethinkers. George Carlin and stoned-looking Daniel Radcliffe are having a good time together.
And, finally, I leave you with a constipated iron pill. Why, you ask? Why are you asking?

See the new layout? That’s just a taste of the website’s relaunch. Prepare.
new york & the such

There was also museum walkin’, Broadway seein’, food eatin’ good times, if you were wondering.

In other news, I have a bunch of projects coming up soon, including a complete revamp of the website!
Already, you say? Yeah! Cause I don’t like the one up right now! Stay tuned.
never look ahead.
never look ahead boards.
A couple of boards from my MoTech2 final. The assignment is to combine a style (Constructivism) and a theme (relation to electronics). The television was modeled in Maya 2011. The photos of the ladies are from stock photography – the actual subject will be photographed.
that’s a cool story, bro.
I put sugar in my coffee for the first time in two years this morning, and everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.
Nothing interesting happening lately. I’ll have style frames up later in the week, but for now, cool story, bro.
hey, little songbird.
Another one from a bunch of Hadestown illustrations I’m working on. I like Eurydice’s growth and her relation to the flowers and the birds. I always imagined her as really bright and beautiful above ground, and after following Hades, gray and torn down like a caged bird.
Or something like that.
I’m working on a similar illustration with Orpheus, but for now, have the acoustic version of the song that inspired this:
